Wetherell - the finest fly fishing writer?
Wetherell takes my vote as the finest fly-fishing writer. His intimacy with the streams of New England, Vermont and New Hampshire; his sense of history; his critical gaze on faddism and the globalisation of fly-fishing; his urge to keep things simple. Like him, "I am content to try a lazy cast now and then and put most of my effort into watching".

Tribute to Dr A A Luce
I re-read Fishing and Thinking by A A Luce last week and it brought back to me what a good book this is. In particular Dr Luce's courage not to dodge the difficult questions.
